DAVID FURNISH OPENS AIDS MEMORIAL IN BRIGHTON
NOVEMBER 2009
The last month has been one of reflection for absent friends, including the unveiling of Brighton’s beautiful AIDS memorial statue, which it was my privilege to officially launch. The statue is in memory of thousands of people who lost the fight against AIDS in that city, and the millions more around the world. Whilst in Brighton, I was able to see some of the new work EJAF is funding. It reaffirmed how critical our support is in the face of a changing epidemic and how proud I am of what we have achieved. Special reports on this work, and some of the people I met during the visit, have been produced on http://www.sussexbeacon.org.uk/.
We also continue to find new and exciting ways to raise funds for these projects - including our first fabulous Winter Ball, and our collaboration with Jimmy Choo, both of which are featured on the home page.
From Elton and myself, thank you as ever for your support.
