During the next strategic cycle, EJAF seeks to support the following grant programmes in Nepal for which multi-year funding is available:
Access to HIV/AIDS Testing, Treatment and Care
We are seeking programmes that work in collaboration with or within government healthcare systems, to scale up ARV treatment and care services. Working singly or with other stakeholders these programmes should address delivery of a continuum of HIV/AIDS care including VCT, HAART, PMTCT, Paediatric and Community Care Services. Programmes must be able to measure and demonstrate impact, have strong PLWHA involvement, good adherence and a cost effective mechanism of adding clients to their programmes. They must also anticipate how the programme will be sustained over the longer term.
Support for vulnerable or at risk groups
Particularly men who have sex with men, injecting drug users, sex workers and seasonal migrants. We are seeking programmes that either singly or in collaboration with other stakeholders are seeking to provide a range of integrated care services for vulnerable communities including: appropriate HIV/AIDS information, harm reduction and prevention methods, access to health, STI and HIV/AIDS testing and treatment as well as psychosocial and peer support services. Programmes must seek to integrate with government service provision where possible, demonstrate clear measurement of impact, strong buy in from target communities, effective and appropriate entry levels for services and anticipate how the work will be sustained over the long term.
Organisations/Networks of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA)
We are seeking organisations and networks which empower PLWHA, enabling them to play an active and meaningful role in the development of HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment services (particularly support to serodiscordant couples), improve their quality of life and exercise self-determination. Programmes must demonstrate impact at an organisational (network/support group) and individual beneficiary level, and anticipate how the programme will be sustained over the long term.
Robert Key Memorial Fund
EJAF has set up a new grant fund in memory of our former Executive Director, Robert Key. This fund is seeking applications which advance the rights and meet the needs of people living with HIV/AIDS from vulnerable or marginalised communities. For more details, including how to apply, please click on the following link: Robert Key Memorial Fund Strategy
Small Grants Fund
EJAF also operates a Small Grants Programme aimed at Community Based Organisations which, in Nepal, is administered via the HIV Collaborative Fund's South Asia Regional Small Grants Fund.
Please see their website for more details and how to apply: www.hivcollaborativefund.org
NB All programmes will need to ensure that beneficiaries are central to the design and implementation of the programme and be able to demonstrate their impact on the beneficiary group.
